Californian native wins more than 3 million from slots at Pala

It was great news for a player from Ontario, California, as he hit a jackpot worth more than 3 million dollar recently at the Pala Casino Resort and Spa.

The 32-year-old won a whooping USD 3,229,365.15, while playing at a progressive slot machine, California Megabucks Double. The player, who only wagered about USD 40 when he hit the jackpot, requested the authority that his name should remain anonymous.

Ever since it opened for operation in April 2001, this is the largest jackpot won by an individual, as confirmed by the resort’s CEO, Bill Bembenek. He said, “This is the largest jackpot payout that we have done. We are quite pleased for the winner.”

Megabucks Slot is a part of the statewide network of progressive slots. This network is operated by one of the leaders in online casino software provider, IGT, and involves 37 different casinos across Californian State. There are 60 progressive slots in the network.

The jackpot in the slot game starts at USD 3,000,000. It grows with the amount of coin played at each of the casino across the state. Once an individual hit the jackpot, the amount is reset back to USD 3,000,000.
